This fall, class is in session with expertise from the best in the biz. And no, that’s not an exaggeration: class with Daymond John - legendary businessman, philanthropist, and TV star - is back in session with a *NEW* Semester course in entrepreneurship!

Whether it’s through creating games instead of just making them, launching the next hit YouTube channel, or coding a website for an online store, it’s never been easier to become a young businessperson: often, STEM is the key. In our tech-driven world, there are an unprecedented number of avenues for kids to put their ideas out there and craft them into innovative, profitable ventures.

Daymond John knows from experience that kids and teens can benefit tremendously from exploring entrepreneurship early in life:

“I’ve met so many accomplished people in business who got their start as children; like me, those life lessons have stuck with them and shaped the brands they launch and the investments they make. And after seeing so many awesome kids nail it on Shark Tank, I know for a fact that it’s possible to create a successful business at any age.”

The next million dollar idea could be noodling around in your child’s imagination; let us help them make it into something awesome! With the expertise of The People’s Shark, mentorship from our tech rockstars, and the interactive atmosphere of a Semester course, there’s no telling where that idea can lead.

Kids should learn entrepreneurship from the best

Entrepreneurship for kids is both as exciting as it sounds as a learning experience and much easier for young people to explore than you might think! Young people are, in many ways, natural entrepreneurs with big dreams, unique opinions, and inquisitive minds ready to question the status quo and create something new.

In other words, kids often have all the raw materials needed to develop the next big app, business venture, or brand! All that’s needed is expertise and mentorship to guide their first steps into exciting new ventures.

Here are just a few highlights of this exciting fall learning opportunity. Our 10-week Semester courses, online after-school programs, provide the ultimate virtual learning experience. In small groups averaging 5 students per class, kids can explore the hottest topics in STEM with guidance from a tech rockstar mentor and emerge with cutting-edge skills.

In Entrepreneurship with Daymond John for teens 13-17 and Startup Camp for kids aged 10-12, students will develop skill sets that are essential to any aspiring innovator or businessperson.

  • Learn from legendary entrepreneurs
  • Develop their own brand and style guide
  • Practice the art of the pitch and negotiation
  • Design and create their own logo
  • And more!

Students will get professional advice they can’t find anywhere else and have the opportunity to test out their knowledge in a collaborative Semester environment.

Just ask Daymond John: great ideas can’t flourish in a vacuum, that’s just one of many reasons kids should learn about entrepreneurship now. It’s crucial to be able to bounce ideas off of others, and the collaborative element of the experience will encourage kids to refine their ideas to their full potential.

Plus, kids will get to start building essential knowledge like financial literacy alongside the creative skills involved in launching a brand.

As Daymond John puts it, “No matter what business you’re in, business is business, and financing and money are critical. I would have made a lot fewer mistakes if I had more schooling in that area.” Our goal is to provide that foundational knowledge through a project-based learning experience that has real-world applications.

The relationships kids will build and the skills they’ll gain will keep the iterative process going. In this business-building Semester course, Daymond John will provide insight and inspiration to help students visualize, create, and execute the ideas that are key to launching a new business.

Project-based learning is the best way to learn the ins and outs of being a successful entrepreneur; what is starting a business if not a big project! This course takes it to the next level. Kids will take a closer look at inspirational brands and develop an entrepreneurial eye above and beyond what a typical consumer sees.

Thanks to the iterative nature of the course and the real-world perspectives of industry giants, kids will learn that practice makes progress. As any businessperson knows, success is as defined by learning from mistakes as by wins, and this course will reinforce the perseverance it takes to continue learning and having fun along the way!

The time to start? Right now!

According to Daymond John, “Time is one of the most precious resources we have, and the sooner that lesson is learned, the better! By learning the ins and outs of entrepreneurship, kids can build habits like setting goals, working smart, and other strategies that will help them use their time wisely.”

That’s exactly what kids will accomplish in this course, in addition to developing a versatile set of tech skills that are transferable to other STEM fields and beyond.

Using Adobe Suite, they’ll build a brand style guide, practice the art of negotiation and pitching, and develop the technical and creative skills to help evolve their ideas into a business idea.

By the end of the Semester session, kids will have practiced what can take years to learn with the benefit of collaborative feedback and industry-tested advice. New knowledge in hand, kids can approach school, their hobbies, and life with a new outlook: one of an entrepreneur in the making.

Jump start an entrepreneurial adventure

Kids’ learning and personal growth is about so much more than homework and report cards. What about fun? Getting excited about something kids think will change the world? Often, getting outside the classroom is key to making that happen.

Daymond John believes in the power of bringing kids’ interests to the forefront of learning: “Every kid has interests and personal experiences to build on, and by practicing a creative mindset and putting their imagination to work, they can explore new possibilities and make big things happen.”

Kids need extracurricular enrichment activities, connecting with mentors, and the many other elements that support great ideas getting off the ground! Is your child ready to step into the CEO’s chair?

Whether they’re looking for a personal coach for your Young Entrepreneur or a small-group learning environment to help your child’s ideas grow, there’s something in the fall course catalogue for every budding business leader.
