About the Cambridge Area
Cambridge is located in the Greater Boston Area; a city known for being the home of two of the world's most prestigious universities with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University; two institutions that are separated by a five minute drive down Massachusetts Avenue. With most of the city's commercial districts made up of major intersections called squares, Cambridge is known by some as the "City of Squares" with Kendall Square, Central Square, Harvard Square, and Porter Square among the most prominent. iD offers summer programs held at both MIT and Harvard - iD Tech Camps and iD Programming Academy are held at MIT, and iD Gaming Academy is held at Harvard. Due to the prestige of both schools, many iD students from Acton, Arlington, Belmont, Boston, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Dover, Lexington, Needham, Newton, and Wellesley attend our Cambridge summer computer camps and teen programs.
