A Letter From our CEO: iD Tech and Emeritus are Joining Forces!

iD Tech in action

22 years ago, my mom, Kathryn, and my sister, Alexa, founded iD Tech with a mission to create life-changing tech experiences to embolden students to shape the future. Over the past two decades, we have watched our iD Tech community grow from 270 students that first summer, to over 500,000 alumni around the globe.

Today, I am excited to announce a new chapter in our family company as iD Tech officially joins hands with Emeritus, the global leader in making high-quality education accessible and affordable to individuals, companies, and governments around the world. Through our partnership, we will be creating one of the most comprehensive educational platforms in the world, spanning the K12 and professional education markets.

Through our partnership, we are excited to create an unprecedented life-long learning platform for students and professionals worldwide. Together, iD Tech and Emeritus’ global approach will create an ecosystem rooted in positive learning outcomes, paving the way for brighter futures for students and professionals.

We could not have reached this milestone without you, our iD Tech community of passionate STEM parents raising the leaders of our future. So, what does this mean for you? All of your favorite courses from coding to robotics to game development will continue to be offered with the same instructors. And, with the added resources behind Emeritus, we’ll be able to provide even more ways to engage in STEM learning at every stage of life.

As I look toward our future, I am more optimistic than ever. Our partnership with Emeritus bolsters both our commitment and our ability to deliver upon our mission.

When we founded iD Tech in 1999 in my parent’s Silicon Valley garage, we were preparing for the reality we live in today, one where K-12 students could master the 21st-century skills of a professional developer. I’ve seen students design their utopias in Roblox, code entire games from start to finish, and even use 3D printers to create mask extenders for frontline healthcare workers.

I have watched our iD Tech community grow with enthusiasm and rigor. It’s been a true joy to see our students mold their spark of curiosity into a flame of a professional career – whether it was in coding, math, game development, robotics, or beyond – and I can’t wait to see what you all come up with next!

Thank you, sincerely, for being our continued source of inspiration. YOU are why we love what we do every day, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with you.
