Sample Schedule 

In this course, students will develop their Python programming skills through a combination of interactive, instructor-led lessons, collaboration, and independent project work. 

Here’s a sample of what a week in the course could look like! Please keep in mind that students will progress at varying paces; this is a general outline of the key material and overall student experience. 

As a class, students will explore Python fundamentals, including an introduction to variables, user interaction, and conditionals. Using these skills, they will start coding basic projects like interactive mad libs and stories.

Next, students will advance to coding while loops, random number generation, and functions.

Utilizing object-oriented programming, students will define classes and inheritance relationships. 

Students will practice creating art assets and begin exploring the PyGame library. If they have not already done so, they will also start working on their personal final projects. 

To cap off the week, students will add layers of engagement to their games using Python. With instructor guidance, they will learn to incorporate features like 2D movement, collision detection, and obstacles to the games they create.
