Ages 7-9
Coding Camp with Take-Home Retro Arcade
Ready, Player 1! You’ll code a collection of games in Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, from blasting away meteors in outer space to searching for hidden treasures in a fantasy castle. Design each game with custom pixel art, characters, and a story from your imagination! With visual coding blocks, you’ll create a score that goes up as you collect items and defeat enemies. Then, unbox a handheld arcade console and plug in your games to play and share them hands-on with friends. At the end of your iD Tech camp week, you’ll take your console and games with you to keep playing and creating at home!
PERFECT FOR: kids who want to transform their ideas into real-life games
“The variety of subjects iD Tech offers is fantastic, and the instructors are highly knowledgeable and engaging. Our child has learned an incredible amount of coding concepts through their programs. What sets iD Tech apart is their personalized approach to learning—the curriculum truly adapts to the child's individual pace, allowing them to make meaningful progress. I highly recommend them to any parent looking for high-quality tech education!”

Ages 10-12
Board Game Design Camp with 3D Printing
At your next game night, introduce something no one's ever played before: a board game created from your imagination!
Sketch an idea and design physical cards and tactile pieces like tokens. Define your game's rules, build a paper prototype, then playtest it with your iD Tech peers. Once your design is ready, you’ll model a player pawn, like a wolf or wizard. Then, bring it to life with a 3D printer: print your pawn along with dice, scenery pieces like trees, or tileable puzzle pieces that snap together to create your board. As you make updates to your game’s design in 3D, playtest it again with your new pieces in hand. Bring it all together in a custom box with your own art and design, ready to sit on the shelf next to favorites like Disney's Lorcana or Ticket to Ride. At the end of the week, you'll take home your game and all its components to play with family and friends!
PERFECT FOR: kids who want to combine gaming with 3D printing
“Our son had an amazing week learning 3D printing! He got a ton of instructor one-on-one time in a small group setting and is already begging to go back next summer. After his week-long camp, he came home full of excitement about what he had learned and is continuing to create in lots of ways. Our expectations were far exceeded. We will definitely be sending him for multiple camps next summer and continuing on our id tech journey.”

Ages 13-17
BattleBots® Design Camp: Build, Print, Take Home
Engineer your own BattleBots® champion, from initial concept to finished build, then take it home after camp. Sketch concepts and build a base from RC components designed for robotics competitions. Then, model custom armor and weapon attachments in CAD, refining dimensions and fit before sending your designs to a 3D printer and turning them into tactile parts. Forge an armored scorpion with a 3D-printed stinger or a combat crab with a crushing claw! At the next stage, test your build with fellow iD Tech campers and track performance data across each trial. Identify weaknesses, then decide where to reinforce, like adjusting weight distribution and center of gravity to optimize stability before the next round. At the end of the week, pack up your custom robot and 3D-printed parts to take home, where, with a few adjustments, your bot can be ready for local robotics competitions.
PERFECT FOR: teens who love to ideate, analyze, build, and participate in a little friendly competition
“This was my son’s second year attending BattleBots Camp at iD Tech, and he had another fantastic experience. He really enjoys the entire process, from designing and building his robot to testing it in battle against other campers. The camp does a great job of combining creativity, engineering, and hands-on learning in a fun and engaging way. The instructors create a positive environment that keeps kids excited and motivated throughout the week.”

Ages 13-17
AI Academy: Vibe Coding & App Development with AI Agents
Build your vision into reality in this two-week AI academy: start from concept to a polished digital product, like an app, with an AI agent as your creative partner.
Collaborate with fellow builders: share ideas, take in valuable feedback guided by your instructor, and prototype projects in an AI hackathon. Work together to meet a hypothetical client’s demands under time constraints. You'll start by examining how code is structured, so you can read what your agent builds and know exactly where to step in. Write and design user interface elements with a mix of vibe coding and your own. Then, debug like a professional dev team: refine prompts, read console logs, and decide when to fix the logic yourself versus delegating diagnosis to your agent. You’ll secure all your projects in a GitHub repository.
Choose a capstone project to polish into a fully working app, such as a daily planner with live weather data or an all-in-one entertainment app to track your current TV shows. At the end of your stay, you’ll receive an official iD Tech Academy diploma and transcript during the Launch Party. Come away with a portfolio of digital products you designed, built, and refined, which can help boost college and internship applications.
AI Usage
You’ll direct an AI agent to build applications. Your instructor will guide you to write and troubleshoot code with AI assistance, including how to utilize tokens effectively with prompt engineering.
PERFECT FOR: teens who want to level up with industry-standard coding and AI
“Our 16 year old attended the 2 week academy and loved every moment of it! He gained knowledge that he is excited to apply and also made friends and learned how to stay away from home the very first time. It was a great experience for him in terms of learning about cutting edge technology as well as valuable life skills that will come in handy in a couple of years in university.”
