Ages 7-9
Art & Animation Camp
Art inspires creativity in many forms—from fine art to graphic novels and animated movies. Now, it’s your turn to pick up the pen and develop your own voice!
Artists, unite! Sharpen your drawing skills and join this collaborative introduction to digital art. You’ll start with the fundamentals to design characters and illustrate a story. Whether you want to create a comic, animate a flipbook, or design trading cards, you’ll bring it to life with your teammates. Then, enter the realm of digital art! With a drawing tablet, you’ll learn how to draw and animate on a digital canvas just like pencil and paper. For the finale, create a short animation or independent art project. All your work will culminate in a gallery-style showcase at the end of the week for your friends and family to enjoy.

Mobile Game Design & App Creation Lab
Tap into the world of game design by creating a mobile game or app! You’ll build a prototype, design a user interface, and test it on a portable tablet. Then, launch your project in GameMaker, the engine behind popular indie games like Undertale! You’ll craft a story and create characters, sprites, and levels. With built-in visual code, develop custom game mechanics like collectible items. Transform your idea into a playable touchscreen experience, whether that’s a cozy virtual pet app, an exciting action-adventure, or a monster collection game like Pokémon Go. Your game will open the way to mobile play—you can even bring your own Apple or Android device to pilot it on!

BattleBots® Camp: 3D Printing and Take-Home Robot
Bring your BattleBots® champion home after camp with the all-new iD Tech robotics kit! You’ll build a completely custom bot from the ground up, starting with a motor-driven chassis. Construct your bot’s frame and give it life with a programmable brain. Then, utilize 3D printing technology to design armor and attachments. Iterate and refine your handiwork as your bot faces off against your peers’ creations in a gauntlet of challenges such as racing, obstacle courses, and capture the flag. All your work will culminate in a BattleBots®-style tournament where the winner takes all! And when the dust settles, you’ll pack up your robot and custom-printed pieces to take home with you.

C# Coding and Game Development with Unity
Unity is the game engine trusted by developers. Nearly half of all console and PC games are made in Unity, including chart-topping titles like Hollow Knight and Fall Guys. As a game programmer, you’ll develop essential coding skills in Unity with C#. Write and integrate your own C# scripts to program and build a game. You’ll code core mechanics like player movement and item collection, and design a level for your players to explore—from spelunking an ancient temple and diving across traps to unlocking a hidden treasure room! Refine your scripts, then publish your game online to share with your friends. Launch your programming career here with Unity!

Animation Portfolio Academy with Adobe
Animation is an impactful storytelling medium. It’s found among the highest-grossing films of all time, like Pixar’s Inside Out 2. While each film is unique, the artists behind it share the same story—each began as a student, just like you!
In this collaborative studio experience, you’ll work with a team to design a concept and transform it into a polished final product. Begin with a vision—from a pitch for an animated TV series to a fully animated short film. In the first week, you’ll hone your skills, using the same principles as professional animators at studios like Disney. With your teammates, iterate on ideas and designs, and create a prototype of your final project.
Then, delve into production and utilize the powerful Adobe suite with Wacom drawing tablets! Take on the role that best suits your interests—design characters, paint backgrounds, create storyboards, or draw and color 2D animated scenes. At the end of the session, you’ll compile everything you created along the way into a personal portfolio. Your portfolio or final project can bolster a college application, and could be your key to a future in animation!
