VR with Unity and Oculus Quest 2

Please note:

  • At this time, Unity-based courses cannot be run on Chromebooks.
  • The Oculus Quest 2 will require a USB-C connection. If you do not have a USB-C port on your computer, you may need to purchase an adapter like this from Amazon or another retailer.

Oculus Setup

  1. Turn on and follow the built-in Oculus setup process to set up your Oculus Quest 2!
  2. Make sure to use your real Facebook account when making an Oculus account.
    • Facebook terms state that to create an account you must be age 13+. If the student is younger than 13, they will need their parent/guardian to connect their Facebook account.
    • Please note, to verify your Oculus for development, Oculus will require you to initially attach a credit card to the account. iD Tech will not ask, nor will students be required, to make any purchases through their Oculus account to participate in an iD Tech Program. Please note that Oculus manages all aspects of account creation and the requirements to do so.
