How to make camp even

Throughout the countdown to Summer ‘26, iD Tech is here to ensure you make the most of your purchase and empower your child with a summer to remember. Think of us as your personal camp concierge—the experts on summer. Today we’re here with a pro tip: camp is even more awesome when kids bring a friend.

1. Shared logistics, smooth planning
When it comes to balancing your family’s summer activities with your personal schedule, it truly takes a village.
Carpooling is a huge benefit of kids coming to camp with a friend because it can lighten your load and give your child a buddy to share headphones with on the way to camp.
Plus, you can coordinate packing, preparation, and any camp-related communications for an extra smooth week.
2. More home, less homesickness
When kids have a little bit of home with them, they’re less likely to experience feeling out of place.
Bringing a friend to camp will provide a sense of continuity and mitigate feelings of homesickness.
Plus, when kids feel comfortable at camp, you’ll get fewer midday calls about homesickness!
3. Feel safe, feel secure
We pride ourselves on the safe and welcoming environment we create at camp. And when your child brings a trusted friend along for the week, it can provide an added layer of peace of mind for you both.

4. Good vibes, positive reinforcement
With a friend by your child's side, they will be empowered to make braver decisions and more likely to fully embrace the camp experience by trying new activities.
Having a friend there for positive reinforcement will promote social skill development, personal growth, and allow them to discover new passions!
5. Shared experiences, stronger friendships
When your child attends camp with friends, they’ll come away with so many inside jokes and core memories they can look back on together and say, “Remember at camp when…” It’ll strengthen their friendship bond to last a lifetime.
And while we can’t guarantee you’ll understand their inside jokes, you’ll still get to hear all those fun stories!
