About The Seattle Area
Seattle is known as the "Emerald City," not for an abundance of colored gemstones, but instead as a nod to the large quantity of evergreen forests encompassing the area. The city is the Pacific Northwest's largest with over 600,000 residents, beating out Vancouver and Portland for the top position. Seattle is also recognized as an extremely rainy city, and for good reason, as the city receives more than 0.3mm of rain on 150 days out of the year. The University of Washington calls Seattle home, and also plays host to iD Tech Camps summer programs. Students from surrounding Washington cities including Auburn, Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, Bothell, Edmonds, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, Sammamish, Spokane, Tacoma, and Woodinville attend our Seattle summer computer camps.

"The family showcase was great—it was exciting to hear my son talk about his project, and to see the skills he learned. I especially enjoyed getting the chance to meet his instructor, who exuded positivity and humor, and clearly took time to get to know and encourage each student. Thanks!" -Vanessa M., Parent, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
"This is an awesome, exciting, and very educational camp. I learn a lot but always have fun..." -Brendan F., Student, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
"This is my son's second year at iD Tech Camps and he's taken two very different classes. He loved each session and came away completely committed to the topic he'd studied." -David B., Parent, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
