About the Cincinnati Area

Cincinnati, the third largest city in Ohio, was the first major American city to be founded after the American Revolution. Today, the area is notable for authentic German food (due to a legacy of German immigrants in the early 1900s) and historic architecture, exemplified by buildings such as the Music Hall, the lovely Cincinnatian Hotel, and Shillito Department Store, which has since been converted into a museum. Cincinnati is home to two widely-known major league sports teams: the Cincinnati Bengals (NFL) and the Cincinnati Reds (MLB). The city also hosts a variety of large-scale events each year including Taste of Cincinnati, Bockfest, Tall Stacks, the Flying Pig Maraton, and many others.
