Summer tech camps for girls ages 10-15

Alexa Café Hosted by Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada

In 1999, our independent family company set out to reinvent “camp” for the 21st century. Today, we’re the number #1 tech camp on the planet, with summer technology programs for kids and teens held at over 150 prestigious campuses nationwide. This summer, we're partnering with Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada to offer a special session of Alexa Café, our all-girls learning experience for ages 10-15 emphasizing coding, web design, leadership, entrepreneurship, brand identity, and philanthropy. Creative ideas come to life around café tables in a fresh, inviting setting, as instructors mentor each student. Join the movement! Visit AlexaCafe.com for more information.

Ages 10-15 | All-Girls | Weeklong | Coding, Web Design, Visual Arts, Leadership, and More

You’re invited to a warm, inspiring environment where girls collaborate to better our world! At Alexa Café, you’ll tap into the power of coding, video game design, engineering, and more, exploring leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy along the way. Big ideas take shape around café tables, and meaningful projects come to life in just one week.

Code.org reports that while over 50% of the U.S. population is female, women make up only 12% of computer science undergrads. Alexa Café—named after iD Tech co-founder Alexa Ingram-Cauchi—was designed to address this pervasive gender gap by providing a space that empowers girls to innovate and create change within STEM fields and beyond.

Alexa Café Hosted by Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada is proud to present an exciting new STEAM day camp this Summer in partnership with iD Tech! Alexa Café was created in 2014 with the goal to provide a welcoming environment for girls to explore and be inspired by STEM. Through project-based learning, and with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, leadership, and social activism, girls spend the week developing a STEM project that focuses on a cause that is meaningful to them. The café atmosphere cultivates open communication, independence, and empowerment of women. With females only making up 14% of computer science undergrads and STEM jobs projected to grow 3 times faster than non-STEM jobs over the next decade, Alexa Café is preparing the next generation to change that equation.

  • This camp is for Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.
  • Girls must be registered Girl Scout members to attend.

(If you are not currently a registered member of Girl Scouts, don't worry! A Girl Scouts representative will reach out to you after you complete your camp registration to assist.)
