Welcome to our 5th season hosting summer technology programs at the University of South Florida (home of the Bulls)! In 1999, our family company set out to reinvent "camp" for the 21st century. Today, we’re #1 in summer tech education, with 150+ locations nationwide and an expansive lineup of courses in coding, game design, app development, web design, film, photography, and more.
At our USF camps, approximately 30 minutes from the Tampa International Airport, kids and teens build valuable STEM skills in an inspiring, collegiate setting. Students experience personalized learning with a maximum of 8 students per instructor and use the best brand name products from industry leaders like Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, Google, and Microsoft. At iD Tech Camps, you can code an iPhone or Android app from scratch, design your own video game with Unity, mod with Minecraft, engineer a robot with VEX, produce a viral video for YouTube, and so much more. Whatever your passion, kick-start your future in STEM with over 30 of the latest and greatest summer technology courses.
Our flagship program blends world-class instruction with fun camp activities for a well-balanced experience. In each weeklong session, you’ll explore a top campus, create an impressive project, and build skills that last long after summer. iD Tech Camps courses are segmented by age, providing an optimal camp experience for kids, pre-teens, and teens of all skill levels.
About University of South Florida
At our Tampa summer camps held at USF, we strike the right balance between off-computer activities (creative games, sports, life skills, etc.) and essential technology education to foster STEM skill development (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Our popular University of South Florida summer day camps and overnight camps allow students to explore tech interests in a fun, yet challenging setting.
The University of South Florida is a short 30-minute drive from the Tampa International Airport. A fairly young university, USF was founded in 1956; yet the university's students, faculty, and alumni have built camaraderie in established traditions such as campus pride, homecoming events, academic ceremonies, and athletics team support.
Warm temperatures between 70-90 degrees make this Tampa, Florida University a beautiful home away from home. USF is located a short drive away from the beach, and is the eighth largest university in the United States. The University of South Florida system has four different institutions. The city of Tampa is known for breathtaking beaches, a rich music scene, three professional sports teams, and an area called restaurant row.

University of South Florida Facts
Schools and Colleges at University of South Florida: As an institution of almost 50,000 students, USF offers 232 undergraduate degree programs through 13 colleges within the Tampa Bay area. These colleges include Arts & Sciences, Behavioral & Community Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Global Sustainability, Honors College, Marine Science, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, The Arts, and University College.
Student Population: In 2012, the university had a first-time-in-college acceptance rate of 38%. The class of 2014 entered USF with a 50% SAT score range of 1110 to 1280.
Athletics: The South Florida Bulls have an NCAA Division 1 football team and have been part of the Big East conference since 2005. In 2007, USF was nationally-ranked for the first time in their history for football. USF entered college basketball in 1971 and the men's basketball team represents in NCAA Division 1 competition. Famous Bulls in the NBA include Gary R. Alexander and Dominique O'Neal. University of South Florida sponsors 12 varsity sports for both men and women and has a variety of club sports. In 1976, USF won its only national championship in Chess.
Distinguished Alumni & Personnel: University of South Florida totes alumni from professional, government, education, entertainment, athletics, and military backgrounds. Former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan attended USF and so did Tony La Russa, who managed the White Sox, the Oakland Athletics, and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball teams. Other well-known USF alumni include actor Drake Hogestyn, model and actress Lauren Hutton, and Vice Admiral and Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Adam M. Robinson, Jr.
