About the New Haven Area
Behind Bridgeport, New Haven is the second-largest city in the state of Connecticut, with nearly 130,000 residents. Founded in 1638, this New England city is powered largely in part by Yale University, one of the most prestigious Ivy League universities in the country. In New Haven (also known as "The Elm City"), Yale is the city's largest employer - and taxpayer - and is home to over 11,000 students. Yale is also one of many iD Programming Academy locations, with students traveling from Branford, Greenwich, Northford, Norwich, and other cities to attend our New Haven summer programs.

"Wil was the best instructor I could have hoped for. He let me focus on the aspects of programming that I was interested in (while still following the curriculum). I wanted to work on Java™script, at the end of the game plan, and because I finished C++ faster than normal I had the opportunity to learn it. That was something I had been trying to learn for a couple years." -Claire W., Student, iD Programming Academy held at Yale University
"It was A lot of fun and I am definitely coming back last year. It was the best part of the summer. The counselors were fantastic and the dining hall food was excellent." -Jordan S., Student, iD Programming Academy held at Yale University
