About San Jose State University
Experience the ideal balance of STEM learning and summer fun at our San Jose summer camps held at SJSU. Founded in 1857, SJSU is known for being the oldest public school of higher education in the state, and boasts a beautifully urban campus located in the heart of downtown.
Founded as a normal school, a college specifically for training teachers, SJSU now has a broad selection of bachelor’s and master’s degrees available. This 154-acre campus occupies 19 city blocks in bustling San Jose, the 10th largest city in the U.S. The campus also holds the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, the first library to be funded, managed, and operated jointly by a city and a university. As the number one supplier of education, engineering, computer science, and business graduates to Silicon Valley, the world’s high tech capital, San Jose State University is an ideal addition to our lineup of iD Tech locations.
