Ages 10-15 | All-Girls | Weeklong | Coding, Web Design, Visual Arts, Leadership, and More

You’re invited to a warm, inspiring environment where girls collaborate to better our world! At Alexa Café, you’ll tap into the power of coding, video game design, engineering, and more, exploring leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy along the way. Big ideas take shape around café tables, and meaningful projects come to life in just one week. reports that while over 50% of the U.S. population is female, women make up only 12% of computer science undergrads. Alexa Café—named after iD Tech co-founder Alexa Ingram-Cauchi—was designed to address this pervasive gender gap by providing a space that empowers girls to innovate and create change within STEM fields and beyond.

About Mills College - Girls Program

This is our 1st season hosting Oakland, CA summer camps at Mills College. This independent liberal arts and sciences institution began in 1852 in Benicia, CA as a young ladies' seminary, becoming the first women's college west of the Rockies. Today, Mills College is an undergraduate women's college spanning 135 acres across the foothills of Oakland. Over 40 undergraduate majors and 33 minors are available, and over 25 graduate degrees are offered for both women and men. Recently, U.S. News & World Report ranked Mills College fifth overall among colleges in the western U.S., based on an evaluation of academic quality vs. tuition. With it's track record of academic excellence, Mills College is an ideal addition to the iD Tech location lineup. Come explore campus with us!
