About the Berkeley Area

Cal's Golden Bears call the city of Berkeley home, along with over 100,000 other residents. UC Berkeley is the oldest among all universities in the University of California system, established before UC Irvine, UCLA, and even UC Davis. UC Berkeley is also Berkeley's top employer in terms of number of employees, providing jobs for over 14,000 people. The city itself has 150+ buildings designated as local landmarks. Some of these important city structures include Berkeley high school and the William R. Thorsen House. Many iD Tech Camps students from surrounding Northern California cities like Albany, Mill Valley, Oakland, Piedmont, San Francisco, Tiburon, and Piedmont attend our Berkeley summer computer camps.

Looking for something fun to do while the kids are at camp? Our Berkeley summer programs are minutes from the city's top attractions. Happy exploring!
