Coding and Engineering 101
Course DescriptionCoding and engineering collide in this multifaceted course. Students start with the foundation of a computer—the hardware. Then they get binary (01101100 01101111 01101100) to learn how a computer executes coded instructions. Putting this knowledge together with object-oriented programming concepts in JavaScript, students will program the micro:bit, an interactive, pocket-sized computer that's theirs to take home. They'll use JavaScript to detect motion, send messages, and make games, while developing real-world hardware and coding skills.
