What does iD Tech's "off season" look like?

“But, what do you guys do when it’s not summer?”

That is one of the most common questions we receive here at iD Tech! And it’s one of our favorites, honestly.

As soon as one camp season is over, we get so excited for the next year that we immediately start planning!

And boy, do we need all that time.

With 150+ camp locations, international growth, and over 50 cutting-edge courses for Summer 2019, we have been busy.

To support such expansion, we hire talented leaders to join our operations team each year. From working with location liaisons, hiring and training incredible summer staff, and ensuring our camps run smoothly throughout summer, this team oversees it all.

Typically, we hire a handful of Regional Managers to join this team each year; however, thanks to a successful 2018 and a big start to 2019, we recently hired NINE new Regional Managers!

While we usually fill these roles internally, we recently opened up the search to external candidates—an exciting leap for us, which paid off! We ended up hiring five people who had never worked for iD Tech before, as well as four former summer staffers who have already made a huge impact over the years.

We feel so fortunate to get to grow our team with these spirited individuals.

So, now you know what we do when summer’s over! We hire, we prepare, and we plan—all so that we can provide unforgettable experiences to every one of the 60,000 students who will soon be attending our camps.

Summer 2019, we’re coming for you!
