Python Coding: Machine Learning and Data Science with Penn School of Arts & Sciences
Not only is Python one of the most in-demand, highly lucrative coding languages today, it goes hand in hand with machine learning and data science. These fields are among the most exciting and fast-growing in STEM.
And with valuable skills in hand, teens will be ready to open a world of possibilities for their futures! No matter what their goals are, there’s no denying they will have a myriad of exciting options in data science, machine learning, and other fields.
With an average annual salary of $100,560, data science is accelerating both in types of job opportunities and overall demand. Since 2012, the field has experienced a 650% growth spurt, and it’s still growing.
Careers as data scientists, machine learning engineers, infrastructure architects and more await those with these valuable skills. Plus, the US Department of Labor reports that by 2028, over 546,200 coding jobs will be added to the economy, and with Python leading the pack, students will have skills sought after by colleges and employers alike.
In this course, students will develop the foundational coding skills necessary to delve deeper into machine learning and data science applications. As they explore, they will build on the essentials to use technology like TensorFlow and machine learning models to recognize images and handwriting. And to put it all together, teens will create a unique project of their own!
C++ Coding: Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence with Penn School of Arts & Sciences
As a coding language, C++ holds the keys to unlocking apps, AI, websites, and more innovations. Much of the projected growth across STEM jobs concentrates on software development, and with an essential like C++ under their belts, teens can kickstart internships and much more.
Not only is C++ frequently taught in college-level coding classes, the logic of the coding will take teen’s STEM knowledge to the next level. With C++ skills, teens will be able to embark on a journey to some of the best STEM careers out there.
Whether they’re creating the next hit app, game, or other project, teens will be able to prepare for introductory computer science college courses and other exciting opportunities. Not only that, but by understanding algorithms, teens can write smarter and smarter programs with increasing levels of sophistication.
In this course, teens will master data types, memory management, applications with 2D graphics, and custom controls. Along the way, they’ll build an enviable coding repertoire.
C# Coding: Unity for Apps and Games with Penn School of Arts & Sciences
We’re living in the age of the gamer! Whether online, on a gaming console, or on a mobile device, demand for well-designed games is soaring to a total value of over $151.06 billion dollars and numerous exciting career paths.
Game designers constitute just one of many skilled professionals, along with programmers, artists, writers, and many more talents and skill sets needed to create today’s hit video games.
But for those passionate about video games, the coding element can seem abstract, even intimidating at first. With this unique course, teens will be able to make the connection between uniquely-coded objects and awesome in-game features. Then, using a collaborative approach found in esports and many other professional gaming fields, teens will learn to use C# and Unity to create their own masterpieces.
