Happy New Year from iD Tech! Our year in review.

iD Tech in action

We're thrilled that 2021 is here and amazed at all our students accomplished in 2020! This past year brought crazy challenges, and our students inspired us to innovate. That meant redefining and reimagining how we provide life-changing STEM experiences.

Looking back, we are so proud of how we met the moment and emerged better than ever!

As 2021 begins, we're reflecting on everything we accomplished in 2020 and feel tremendous gratitude for our community. Here are some of the brightest highlights of 2020.

Milestones we met with your support:

Provided safe distance learning in all 50 states and 135+ countries, culminating in 1.5 million hours of world-class virtual education.

Launched our first-ever Virtual Tech Camps, weeklong online summer camps that brought the magic of iD Tech to kids at home, with 45,000 inaugural students.

Leveled up Online Private Lessons, (our virtual learning experience where students receive personalized instruction and mentorship) by offering cutting edge hardware and adding math tutoring.

Delivered over 75,000 STEM experiences, inspired 97% of students to go to a 4-year college, and celebrated 380 new L10 Students.

... From learning programming and game design skills to collaborating with like-minded kids and learning to live away from home, my son grew so much with iD Tech! iD Tech's L10 credential signifies over 300 hours of coursework, illustrating consistency of interest, focus, and achievement that will help my son to stand out in the college application process.”- Doug Y., Father of Ian Y. (L10 Student and Aspiring Game Designer)

Through our partnerships, we:

Donated $1,435,000 in scholarships and computers to underserved students during the COVID pandemic.

Partnered with more than 50 organizations to provide program funding and joined forces with over 200 nonprofits to offer scholarships to underrepresented students. Through these efforts, we delivered 1,391 educational experiences to kids.

Bridged the digital divide in STEM by providing 400 laptop computers and 16 internet hotspots for students in need.

Led three initiatives to increase diverse representation and access in tech: Coding Her Future, Coding Our Future, and Creating Our Future.

Seeing as I’m a female interested in technology, a male-dominated field, it was an invaluable experience being able to connect with other girls who are in the field as well. It reassured my decision of pursuing technology in the future!”- Sana M., Salesforce Scholar

Through our company-wide culture, we:

Invested in relationships, advocated for diversity and inclusion, and got creative (and a little silly!) every day. We use CAMPERS (Culture. Authentic. Mentorship. Purpose Driven. Empowered. Resilient. Service.) to define what is fundamental to iD Tech.

Inspired creativity and fun with our Unmute Yourself initiative, as well as our seasonal, virtual block parties on Roblox.

Reimagined our inclusion council as JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) to increase equity, inclusivity, and representation across STEM fields and within our own culture.

"At iD Tech, our culture is our company and our company is our culture. On our team, we are all CAMPERS. That spirit is in absolutely everything we do every day with purpose, innovation, and heart." - Pete Ingram-Cauchi, CEO

Thanks to our team and community, we have the opportunity to build on these milestones in 2021 and beyond.

We’re looking ahead with gratitude, optimism, and the knowledge that we would not be where we are today without our amazing students, instructors, and community.

From our entire team at iD Tech, thank you. We can't wait to see what 2021 holds!

Happy New Year!
