Back in 1999—way before smartphones, drones, and social media—mother and daughter Kathryn and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi had a vision for the future of tech education. Something high-energy, fun, and hands-on. Something held at prestigious campuses to emphasize the importance of higher learning.
Thanks to their unstoppable combination of imagination, instinct, and entrepreneurial spirit, iD Tech was born and has since gone BIG.

Today, as we celebrate our family company's 18th birthday, we're thankful to be the nation's leading summer tech camp, with over 235,000 kids and teens enrolled since our founding. But we don’t measure our success by how many students attend or how many locations we offer. Our success is based on the outcomes and experiences of our students. iD Tech alumni are securing coveted internships, attending top colleges, starting companies, landing dream jobs, and using their talents and passions to empower others.
Since the beginning, inspiring students has been our calling, and no matter how many birthdays go by, we'll never lose sight of that. Working together to help students reach their full potential is one of the greatest feelings in the world for our summer staffers and main office team alike.

Alexa puts it perfectly. "It's about the individual connections made over the years. The child who saves up their allowance to put themselves through a week of camp, the correspondence from a family who shares their challenges or their wins, the child who attended camp, went on to be an instructor, and found their jumping block for the future. It's about working alongside wonderful people who I knew in their twenties and now have children of their own who either attend iD Tech or have interned with us. For me, it's about continuing to make an impact one child, one family, one staff member, one co-worker at a time and realizing that it's a much better place when there is a sense of community and purpose."
On behalf of the entire iD Tech family, thank you for sharing our journey with us and standing by us through our transition from small family start-up to globally acclaimed summer tech program. We love what we do and we know it shows. Here's to another 18 seasons (and beyond!) of tech awesomeness!
