2014 World Cup Fans May Witness Tech Miracle
The Walk Again Project is planning to help one Brazilian teen, paralyzed from the waist down, deliver the first ceremonial kick of the 2014 World Cup. The non-profit is an international collaboration between the Neuroscience departments of numerous prestigious universities, including Duke, the Technical University of Munich, UC Davis, and more.
"The teen will use a mind-controlled exoskeleton," and walk onto the soccer field in a robotic body suit prior to the kick-off. Interested in building your own robots? Learn more about our Robotics courses for kids and teens.
